Did you know that you can report bugs directly to the Project developers?
There is a common-sense procedure to follow, so that your report is useful to us: we do ask that you read the article How to Report Bugs Effectively (available in several languages) before you proceed. Then, post your bug report to the firebird-support or the firebird-devel list and ask if you need to post it to Tracker.

Is there a feature you would like to request?

Maybe it is already in Firebird's development programme. You can check up at the Tracker site using the Find Issues search tool. You can even vote on it! And if there is a feature YOU want that nobody else has registered yet, write up a good description and add it as a Feature Request.

You will need to create an account in Tracker to report bugs, request features or vote. It is simple! Just go there and follow the sign-up instructions.

	Thanks to some Black Hat activity in our subnet at the weekend, we lost the website and the Tracker site for some days. The Tracker site is still undergoing repair and will be returned to service as soon as possible. We thank you for your patience.

	The kinterbasdb 3.3 source tarball and Windows binaries for Firebird 2.x and Python 2.5/2.6 are ready to download and test.
19-Nov-2008	ODBC/JDBC Driver v.2 Release Candidate is Ready to Test
	Alexander Potapchenko has today uploaded 32-bit and 64-bit install kits and source for the first release candidate of the V. 2 Firebird ODBC/JDBC driver for Linux and Windows. Please test these thoroughly and report experiences, good or bad, to the firebird-odbc-devel list.
18-Nov-2008	Firebird 2.0.5 Release Candidate is Ready to Test
	The Firebird Team is pleased to offer the Linux, Win32 and MacOSX release candidate kits for Firebird 2.0.5. Please refer to the Bug Fixes chapter of the release notes, test it well and report your experiences (good or bad) to the firebird-devel list.
2-Nov-2008	Firebird Gets the Eye of the Sphinx
	Sphinx is a very powerful and popular free open source full-text search engine. A few days ago, Sphinx 0.9.8.1 was released. Vlad Khorsun and Pierre Yager made a patch for Sphinx to support Firebird. Their patches and Windows binary are available to download and try out.

21-Oct-2008	New ODBC Driver Builds for Testing
	ODBC v.2 driver development has resumed with Alexander Potapchenko taking over the vacant role of coordinating the project. New late Beta builds by Alexander and also one from IBPhoenix are available for testing and feedback.
