ODBC/JDBC Driver v.2 Release Candidate is Ready to Test |

Alexander Potapchenko has today uploaded 32-bit and 64-bit install kits and source for the first release candidate of the V. 2 Firebird ODBC/JDBC driver for Linux and Windows. Please test these thoroughly and report experiences, good or bad, to the firebird-odbc-devel list.

Firebird Gets the Eye of the Sphinx |

Sphinx is a very powerful and popular free open source full-text search engine. A few days ago, Sphinx 0.9.8.1 was released. Vlad Khorsun and Pierre Yager made a patch for Sphinx to support Firebird. Their patches and Windows binary are available to download and try out.

New ODBC Driver Builds for Testing |
|
ODBC v.2 driver development has resumed with Alexander Potapchenko taking over the vacant role of coordinating the project. New late Beta builds by Alexander and also one from IBPhoenix are available for testing and feedback.
